Location Data
ToiletFinder uses your device's location to find nearby toilets. This data is:
- Used only to query our database for nearby locations
- Never stored on our servers
- Never shared with third parties
- Processed only when you actively use the app
Anonymous User Identifier
We generate a random anonymous identifier stored only on your device. This is used to:
- Associate your contributions (reviews, tips, confirmations) with a consistent identity
- Prevent spam and abuse through rate limiting
- Allow you to manage your own contributions
This identifier cannot be used to identify you personally and is never linked to any personal information.
User-Generated Content
When you voluntarily contribute to ToiletFinder, we store:
- Toilet locations and details you add
- Reviews and ratings you submit
- Community tips you share
- Confirmations of toilet availability
This content is public and visible to all users of the app.
2. Information We Don't Collect
We do not collect:
- Your name, email, or any personal contact information
- Your browsing history or app usage patterns
- Your location history or movement patterns
- Any data from other apps on your device
- Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV) for advertising purposes
3. How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is used solely to:
- Show you nearby toilets on the map
- Display community reviews and tips
- Prevent spam and abuse
- Improve the accuracy of toilet information
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Cloudflare's secure infrastructure. We implement appropriate technical measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction of data.
5. Third-Party Services
ToiletFinder uses:
- Apple Maps: For displaying the map interface. Apple's privacy policy applies to map data.
- Cloudflare: For hosting our backend services. Data is processed according to Cloudflare's privacy policy.
We do not use any advertising networks or analytics services that track users.
6. Data Retention
User-generated content (toilets, reviews, tips) is retained indefinitely to provide value to the community. You can request deletion of your contributions by contacting us.
7. Children's Privacy
ToiletFinder is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

You have the right to:
- Access the data associated with your anonymous identifier
- Request deletion of your contributions
- Report content that violates our guidelines
